Mark Beelek went to Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska seeking a degree in computer science. Before joining Globe Life Family Heritage Division (FHD), he worked as a mortgage loan officer and clinical research specialist. In 2008, Mark pursued the opportunity of a career with FHD. “I had a great career as a sales professional. However, I realized I was limited in my impact. In leading a team of people, we impact far more people than I could all by myself. It is also impactful for our agents, helping them make a difference in the lives of others while they get to live the life of their dreams, and achieve their goals while living by their priorities and values,” Mark says.
Joining FHD enticed Mark because of the opportunity’s potential. “I bought a plan from a friend who told me I would be good at this. I resisted for two years, and eventually, when the mortgage business was failing, I decided to give this a shot,” he says. “The most rewarding thing has been the people I serve with our policies and our career.”
What is Mark’s greatest accomplishment with the Company? “I wrote an Eagle my second week. I was a Fast Start Award winner, top first-year producer, I Dare You winner as a sales professional, and four-time Agency Builder I Dare You winner. I also wrote over 40 Eagles on the Wall of Greats for recruiting,” he says.
Why choose FHD? Mark explains, “Our mission is to change the world by protecting one family at a time. Our products do just that. They give people the financial resources to keep the lights turned on, food on the table, and allow them to stay together as a family while focusing on the fight, not the finances. On a deeper level, our policies can save marriages and lives."
Mark spends his free time with his family, traveling, enjoying karaoke, cycling, and attending concerts. “We like great performers of all genres. We have recently seen George Strait, Elton John, Snoop Dogg, Blake Shelton, Zac Brown, Guns N’ Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Brad Paisley, and Eric Church.” In the community, Mark is involved with helping the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, local food banks, Habitat for Humanity, and Operation Underground Railroad.
