‘You get out what you put in’ is the guiding principle of John Wayne Southerland’s successful insurance sales career. John got his start in a performance-based career selling medical equipment before joining Globe Life (Family Heritage) in 2009. “Ownership, renewal income, and growth,” were what motivated John to represent Globe Life insurance products at his Agency, Prestige Financial Group in Austin, Texas.
After coming on board, John hit the ground running by becoming one of Family Heritage’s youngest Sales Directors. He says working with Family Heritage has been rewarding because, “the income combined with the flexibility is unparalleled in the workforce. I’ve been able to provide a lifestyle for my family that wasn’t possible for me growing up, and I have the free time to spend with them.”

Making a difference in the community is important to John and Prestige Financial Group. His Agency participates in annual walks for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, provides scholarships to local schools, and sponsors a ‘Back-to-School Extravaganza’ where Sales Professionals take families shopping for school supplies and clothes.
In his personal time, John mentors youth groups and teaches Sunday school at his church. He likes to fish, hunt, play golf, travel, and most of all, spend time with his family.
