After graduation from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2012, Kyle Schneider was ready for the next chapter in his life. He found it the following year with Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (FHL).
“I was attracted to Family Heritage Life for several reasons … residual income, the potential for growth at all levels, the freedom and flexibility if offered, the awesome incentive trips, and the strong work competition,” he recalls. “From the beginning, I wanted to become an Agency Owner. I looked at my own Agency Owner and wanted to develop the skills he had. I’m very disciplined, and I work overtime to make sure the job gets done. I have a great attitude, and I’m fun to work with. I’m also very competitive, love hitting my goals, and showing my team how to hit theirs,” he continues.
“My greatest accomplishment with FHL is being among the top 10 in personal sales my first three years with the Company and seeing my own team among the top two in sales the next three years. The financial freedom FHL has given me is phenomenal, along with the personal and professional growth it’s allowed me to attain. The only thing I would do differently if I could start over with Family Heritage Life is to recruit a bigger team at an earlier stage of my career,” he adds.
“FHL products truly help families during the worst times in their lives. We help protect their resources when they could be devastated financially and help them keep bills paid during these difficult times. Because we benefit the community with the products we provide, we are well known to families in the areas we service,” says Kyle. “Family Heritage Life offers you a great opportunity to join our team, make a significant income your first year, and develop yourself into the person and professional you’ve always wanted to be. If you’re considering a sales or leadership career with FHL, the ultimate path to success is to put in the hours, do exactly what your manager tells you to do, and have a winning attitude,” Kyle emphasizes.
“Giving back is important to the Schneider Agency and we donate money to organizations the Company sponsors. One of those is ‘Cradles to Crayons’, a nonprofit organization that provides resources like school supplies and clothing to homeless and low-income children. I also have volunteered at ‘Friendship Trays’, an organization that distributes meals to the elderly and infirm,” states Kyle.
Free time for Kyle usually involves sports. “I played a lot of sports in college … intramural basketball, flag football, soccer, and dodgeball … and I now play basketball in a men’s league a few times a week,” says Kyle. “I absolutely love sports. I follow both NFL and college football and NBA and college basketball. I also enjoy watching hockey, soccer, and live baseball games while spending time with friends and loved ones. Hiking, snowboarding, and traveling are also high on my list,” he adds.
